Mission Statement

The mission of the Public Works Department is to provide the highest quality public works services to the public and other City departments, balanced through efforts to maintain a cost-effective operation and to provide these services in a responsible and efficient manner.

Please note: Although the Public Works Department provides administrative support, the Municipal Airport, the Animal Control Facility, the Civic Center, and Parks & Recreation carry out different missions than Public Works in general; please refer to their respective pages for more information and contact information.

Functions

The Public Works Department services include the operation and maintenance of the following public infrastructure:

• Streets construction and maintenance
• Water production and distribution
